Er is weer even een nieuwe wet aangenomen. Per 2024 bepaald de overheid volledig wat we nog met elkaar mogen delen.
Desinformatie (dus veelal waarheden over voeding, gezondheid, de leugens in de media enz.) komen boetes op te staan voor de online platformen)

De per 5 juli 2022 aangenomen en per 1 januari 2024 ingaande Digital Services Act (DSA) is een EU-verordening die aan digitale platforms een censuurplicht op straffe van een boete oplegt.

Om precies te zijn krijgen “intermediary services” straks een censuurplicht.
Zie art. 2 sub f: “‘intermediary service’ means one of the following information society services:
(i) a ‘mere conduit’ service that consists of the transmission in a communication network of information provided by a recipient of the service, or the provision of access to a communication network;
(ii) a ‘caching’ service that consists of the transmission in a communication network of information provided by a recipient of the service, involving the automatic, intermediate and temporary storage of that information, performed for the sole purpose of making more efficient the information’s onward transmission to other recipients upon their request;
(iii) a ‘hosting’ service that consists of the storage of information provided by, and at the request of, a recipient of the service.”
Art. 42 lid 3: “(…) Member States shall ensure that the *maximum amount of the fine* that may be imposed for the supply of incorrect, incomplete or misleading information, failure to reply or rectify incorrect, incomplete or misleading information and failure to submit to an inspection shall be *1 % of the annual income or worldwide turnover* of the provider of intermediary services or person concerned in the preceding financial year.”
